Combined information document, delivery and cancellation terms, reservation and order terms
1) Parties

Customer / booker:
Agrees to these terms when purchasing or booking products and services.
2) Booking and ordering terms
The customer must review the service description, instructions, and terms before booking/ordering.The booking/order becomes binding once the booking/order/payment confirmation has been sent to the customer’s provided email address.The customer pays according to the conditions of the chosen payment method.If an online store booking fails on the customer’s side, the customer must immediately contact Svartå Castle. If the service is no longer available, an alternative date/service may be offered or any prepayment refunded.
3) Cancellation and refund terms
Product returns
Consumer products have a 14‑day right of return under consumer protection law, provided that the product and packaging are in original condition.The right of return does not apply to:
- customised products
- accommodation and restaurant services
- leisure services tied to a specific date
Gift cards are non-refundable.
Cancellations (general)
A cancellation is considered made when Svartå Castle has received notice of the cancellation.Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.The cancellation fee depends on the time remaining until the start of the booking:

Private events (special terms)
A booking fee of €1000 is charged when the booking is confirmed. It is non-refundable but deducted from the final invoice.Cancellation fees for event bookings:

Exceptions and restaurant reservations
For bookings made with a discount code, the full product price is always charged in case of cancellation.A single hotel room (1 night) and/or table reservation for up to 2 persons may be cancelled free of charge by 18:00 on the day of arrival, but at least 2 hours before the reserved time.
On event days, table reservations must be cancelled in writing 48 hours in advance, unless stated otherwise in the booking confirmation.
Uncancelled reservations are charged at full value, minimum €50/person.
Separate written agreements may specify different cancellation terms, and these must be visible in the booking confirmation/order.
Force majeure
In case of force majeure, the customer may terminate the agreement without fees.Svartå Castle may terminate a rental or service agreement due to force majeure; payments already made will be refunded, but any additional costs incurred by the customer will not be compensated.
4) Delivery terms and practical rules
Use of the premises, cleaning and smoking
The customer is entitled to use the booked premises and agreed services according to the booking confirmation.Any deficiencies must be reported immediately.The customer is responsible for damaged or lost furnishings and equipment.Extra cleaning is charged according to actual costs, minimum €50.Smoking indoors is prohibited. A violation results in a €250 charge.
Pets
Pets are allowed in designated pet rooms for an additional fee of +€35, and must be announced in advance.An unannounced pet incurs a fee of €50.Pets must be kept leashed on the premises; the booker is responsible for any damage.
Vehicles
Parking is allowed only in designated areas; driving up to the hotel entrance is permitted for check‑in.Parking on emergency routes or obstructing traffic is prohibited.Vehicles for guests with reduced mobility may be used on the premises.Violating parking rules may result in the vehicle being removed at the owner’s expense.Electric vehicle charging is allowed only by prior agreement.
Rented spaces and hotel rooms
Spaces and furniture must be used with care and for their intended purpose.Furniture or equipment may not be taken outside, removed from the premises, or sub‑rented.The space must be returned on time and in the agreed condition; delays may incur additional rental charges.The customer compensates for damages caused by negligence and for lost/destroyed items up to their replacement value.Svartå Castle is not responsible for any direct or indirect costs incurred by the customer due to use or damage of equipment.
Keys
Keys may not be handed over to third parties.Lost or unreturned keys incur costs related to lock replacement.If staff must open the premises outside opening hours due to missing keys, a minimum charge of €150 may apply.
5) Damages and complaints
The booker is also responsible for any damages caused by their group.
Complaints must be made immediately.
Claims for compensation must be submitted in writing within 2 weeks.
6) Payment terms
Delivery costs and payment methods are stated in the online store.Payments are processed through reliable payment intermediaries; credit card details are not stored.Invoicing is primarily for companies and organisations; exceptions are agreed upon in writing.For group bookings, pre‑ordered products and services may be invoiced 14 days prior to the event (payment term 7 days net).If payment cannot be completed at the time of ordering, the order will not be processed.
7) General terms
- Prices shown in the online service include VAT.
- Dynamic pricing applies to accommodation. Prices depend on the time and vary monthly, weekly, and daily.
- We sell products to adults and business customers.
- The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
- Oy Svartå Gård Ab/Svartå Castle reserves the right to use and disclose registered address information for direct marketing, distance selling, and market or opinion research unless the customer objects. The objection can be made via the contact information provided in the terms.
- We reserve the right to change prices and delivery terms.
